These days a simple copyright logo on the bottom corner of your images is not going to be enough. You need to be able to quickly and easily learn all the different ways to add a digital watermark or digital signature onto any image from any point in your workflow.

Introducing Signature

Pre-Order Today £44.99

We all post images on the web and if you are not, then your missing out on sharing your photography with the world. Whether its on Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, SmugMug, websites, forums or on blogs, there are 1001 place to upload to the web & more besides. But how well do you protect your photography from image theft. Ask a member of the public if they are allowed to use images from searching the web. 7/10 will probably say yes! Can you afford to have your work being passed off as someone else’s work? No! well good. So what are you going to do to protect your images?

Welcome to Signature… Over 7 hours of Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge training… It’s your survival guide to protecting your images from theft on the web. But you don’t want to just slap a big copyright stamp in the middle of things ready for someone to remove it with the new “content aware fill” feature of Photoshop CS5.

No, you want to optimise your image for web output. Embed your personal copyright terms directly into the meta data, and finally add a stylish signature that is unique to you and is much harder to remove without someone else compromising the image.

Textured Signature

In this training dvd, Stu will show you how to create a personal workflow for protecting your images in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 & 3, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS5. So regardless where you are in your own digital workflow you can save or export an image that not only looks great but has your name all over it, but with style and flare!

So what are you going to learn today?

There are many different ways to create a personal brand, signature or digital watermark and in this dvd we look at how to create and use the most effective logos, signatures, and watermarks across the whole of your digital workflow.

Creating the Famous 5. Start with the basics…

There are 5 basic ways to create a logo and apply it onto you image. You are going to start by learning all the basics and this will include using the type tools, creating custom brushes, creating custom, editing and saving custom shapes, and finally creating high quality image files ready for scaling and batch processing. You don’t need a business to be able to create a logo. Personal & Professional branding should be fun and it is something that you can carry across onto personal address cards, business cards, letterheads and any other stationery. Pre-Order Today

Signature in Box Design

Learn How to Create

Now its time to Play. Digital Workflow Automation

Once you have learned how to effectively create a personal logo, now you need to be able quickly and easily add it into your own workflow and call upon your own brand in Bridge, Lightroom 2 & 3 and of course Adobe Photoshop CS4 & CS5. So in the 2nd part of the training dvd, you are going to learn how to automate adding a brand to your images in both portrait and landscape formats. Pre-Order Today

Sizing & Resizing

Creating PDF’s

Creating Signature Actions in Photoshop

Batch Processing RAW Images with Image Processor

Creating Automated Droplets

Exporting from Lightroom and Applying Photoshop Actions

Creating Web Galleries

Getting Image Uploaded & Online

Don’t think this dvd is just for Pro’s! This is essential training and resources for every photographer, because the people who take images don’t care whether they come from a professional or amateur photographer!

Using Adobe Watermark for CS5

The clever boffins at Adobe just released Adobe Watermark through Adobe Evangelist Russell Preston Browns website. This is a powerful little panel that really adds to the way you can apply a signature or digital watermark to your images. But it can do so much more than it says on the tin! So let me demonstrate how you can make the most of this seriously cool processing tool.

An Artist signs their work. So why don’t you?

As child we all learned how to write our name. In fact I think writing my name was the very first thing I ever learned to do with a pencil and paper, and If you have seen it today, you would probably say I am still learning how to do it. But my point is a signature is a very personal brand that is unique to each of us. So why not show pride in your photography and sign it for all to see… That way in 100 years our children’s children will know who took that photo of great gran! Pre-Order Today

Now, we don’t all have graphics tablets or a steady hand for that matter. But if you do you can skip the other 2 videos. If you don’t then the first part of creating a signature is all about how best to sign your signature for scanning. If you don’t have a scanner than your kinda stuffed! I kid, I will also show you the best way to photograph your signature as well.

Signing with a Graphics Tablet.

Signing on paper and scanning your signature.

Signing on paper and photographing your signature.

Get scissors out! Its time to cut n paste

Now that you have captured your own signature, its time to tame it. So in this part of the dvd I am going to give you the tools and show show the techniques that turn that little scribble into a shiny vector based shape that can be scaled down for the web or up for print.

Level & Curves

Selections and Masks

Cutting and Pasting into New Layers

Paths & Points

Creating & Editing Vector based Shapes

Remember all those lovely video tutorials you learned at the beginning? Well that was just the stretching and warm up exercises for what is to come. Now, your going to learn how to do it all with flare, style and with your own signature. This time its personal…

Signature with Rounded Corners

We revisit the same techniques, but with different rules for getting your signature to be automated and working with both Portrait and Landscape images! This is not for the faint of heart and its a journey. But one you will be glad you made because at the end of it, you will have the coolest looking signature on the web.

If you have your own blog and update it regularly then this is your shop window for potential clients to browse in. So you want to dress up your images and make them look a million bucks! Right? Well in the final part of signature we look at the latest ways you can present your images on the web with “Storyboard”. The bonus is that if someone does want steal your images then all they are doing is advertising for you! Bless, viral marketing…

It has always been a goal of mine to get Storybook Album Designer out of the actions panel and onto its own interface. Well, I have gone one better because now you can run Storybook using the whole of Photoshop CS4 workspace and I can’t begin to tell you how cool this is for creating digital wedding albums. Watch the demo screencast after the jump…

There are ten panels that make up the Storybook Album Designer Workspace and I have also created panels for the 14×11 and 12×12 page templates. Once you they are installed and the workspace saved, you can then call upon Storybook Album Designer at any point. It cuts out all the scrolling involved in the actions panel and all controls are right at your finger tips!

© Stuart Little 2010

Storybook is now the most powerful piece of album design software on the market and combined with the New LPS Workflow Power Panel makes it one of the most useful, flexible, and did I mention “powerful” ways to create beautiful wedding albums, wall portraits as well as keeping the digital scrap-booking enthusiasts very happy indeed.

© Stuart Little 2010

Finally…

I am recording the screencasts that show you how to install, arrange and save the panels. Once these videos are ready an upgrade will be made available for download. Unfortunately we can’t make this a free upgrade for everyone, but if you bought Storybook Album Designer after the 15th March then you will qualify for a free upgrade and that includes anyone purchasing Storybook Album Designer using the Easter Sale code that comes with the LPS Workflow Power Panel. >

And the answer back was; (10×8), A4, (14×11), (14×12), (16×12) plus a screencast on how to scale the (12×12) templates without losing quality. So I have started with the (14×11) size because it does not take much to get it up to (14×12) and I have a couple of great screencasts that will help you to work with the (12×12 templates and also show you how easy it is to swap out one set of images for another using the (14×11) templates.
