Inspiration is a wonderful tool for making better pictures. So check out these photographers for lighting, composition, subject, theme, expression, colour, post-processing etc. Learn from them and maybe borrow an idea or two, but remember to make those ideas your own… Enjoy!

I got a really pleasant surprise the other day when a customer told me that The Big Picture had been featured in Amateur Photographer for the second time this year. Jeff Meyer has created a round up of gift ideas for Christmas and we topped the Instructional DVD section with 5 stars… I was chuffed to bits when they reviewed it earlier in the year and now they have added it to their gift list and said ” The Big Picture is still the best DVD tutorial we’ve seen all year” Now, I am over the moon.
I have put back the smart sharpening article until Sunday… In the meanwhile the conversion of the garage continues with the Greg and I sealing the concrete floor ready for painting. We have put together a little video for you entertainment.
Last Tuesday I started the conversion of my double garage into a photographic studio and I thought I would share the journey that many of us take as that next step from working at home and shooting clients on location, to having a studio where clients can come to us for a portrait session.
