LPS Workflow Actions Recipe #2

I have spent the last week going through all the images from the wedding I shot back in late September and this is my recipe for nice strong black and white image. Plus, I thought I would do a bit of a BTS and show all the gear-heads my setup for the day.

This a recipe from the LPS Workflow Essentials Actions. So anyone can download them and give it a go for yourself. I like my black and whites aiming more towards the black end of thing and as long as I retain detail in the shadows etc I am a happy bunny as they say…

Recipe

#23 – Curves @ 30-50% Opacity
#27 – Black & White
#17 – Flatten Image

Done!

You may have to play with the curve opacity depending on how you have taken your image but thats the only fine tuning needed. All in all, it should take you about 30-40 secs to do an image.

And yes, thats my good lady doing her bit with the lighting and playing up to Tony’s camera.

Hi Stu i know this is probably a bit late in the day to be asking as this has been posted a while. i did look and read the comments my question is what kind of bracket do you use to fit the softbox onto the monopod (or is it a closed up stand). Your off camera flash is obviously in the scottish diplomatic corps my wife tells me “leave the shirt out it covers the pot” who needs assistance like that lol but she’s right!
