A First Look at Lightroom 3 Beta – Part 1
Last week Adobe released a public beta of Lightroom 3 for us all to have a play around with and give feedback on the new features and I have been doing just that. In this screencast I give you my thoughts on some of the new features included in the beta so far… Finally, I can use collections in the develop module ![]()

If you have not already download the public beta of Lightroom 3, then you can do so at Adobe Labs. Remember that this is not a full release or shipping version, but a beta for evaluation purposes only. It will run alongside Lightroom 2.5 but not interfere with it from what I can tell. So don’t go using it on actual assignments, you have been warned!!
Finally…
Now, don’t just download it and play with it up until the point that the new version is properly released. Try and think what you like about it and also what you do not like about it. Feedback is very important for the software engineers and I will be submitting comments to the Adobe Labs forums in due course. So if you don’t want to do it yourself, then leave your comments and thoughts here about Lightroom 3 and I will gather them up along with my own and submit them to Adobe on your behalf…

Great video, i’ve had a play with the beta, the best bits are the upload to flickr and resize on export features, they’ll cut my workflow in half!
