Creating a Burned Edge Border with Foto Edge Fx
We want to make sure that all our products are supported beyond the initial launch. So with this in mind every now and again I will be adding an extra screencast over and above the scheduled one to help those of you with foto edge fx expand its uses and get a little more creative with Photoshop.

In this screencast I show you how to distress a couple of rough borders with a burned edge effect. This video is not just about clicking actions as you will see, I show you quite a few techniques that can be used with and without the foto edge fx actions. If you want to give this a go for yourself, I used rough border #9 then applied rough border #8 on top to combine them into a sloppy border with a fiery edge.
Ok, so here is the shameless self-promotion
There are a few techniques in the screencast that don’t need foto edge fx, but to get the most out of it, your going to need to get your hands on my actions. We are in the fifth version of foto edge fx which first appeared in 2005. The latest version is available for immediate download at £89.99. We have all the instructional videos online now through our own hosting and you can view them here and also if you want to see the 50 rough borders and sloppy edges before you buy you can download the pdf catalogue that comes with the actions kit. Purchase foto edge fx in our store and you to can create rough borders and sloppy edges for your own images.
