Is Paint Bucket the Forgotten Photoshop Tool?
Adobe Photoshop CS4 has so many tools that a lot of them get tucked away and forgotten. The Paint Bucket is one such tool and it now resides inside the button for the Gradient Tool. So the point of this screencast was to resurrect the poor old paint bucket and give it a bit of a new lease of life by combining it with a few of my favourite techniques.After
The good thing about using the paint bucket tool is that it combines the Magic Wand with the Fill Pattern command all in one tool. Thus, speeding things up somewhat!

If I was aiming for more photo-realism, I would have maybe used the liquify tool to move some of the texture about to sculpt it more towards the shape of the models body. But saying as this is a down and dirty technique, we will leave that for another day.

Question….I see that patterns are .pat files Is it possible to create your own patterns I cant see an option in PS to save as .pat
You can create patterns and in CS3 as there is a pattern maker, which in CS4 you have to reinstall. All you have to do though on any image is make a selection of the pattern you wish to save and then go to Edit>Define Pattern. Job Done!
