@Clifford – This screencast is actually faulty and will be replaced within the hour. A new version will be live by 10am GMT 17th October. Thanks to Catherine for spotting that it ended abruptly. Hi Stu,
I’m just back online after moving house a few weeks back (bloody BT!) and I’m really pleased I came straight back to your site. I always feel my RAW files need to be a little sharper but didn’t really know what I was doing until now. Previously, I’d just run the unsharp mask over them but this Camera RAW method is much more precise – it’s great to finally understand what the various sliders do!

Never really played in camera raw as I’m using Lightroom, I wonder if the ALT key works in there too?
@Rob – Yep, it does exactly the same thing in Lightroom. Its the same engine that powers both on the whole. Remember to be zoomed in at 1:1 to do it.
